glassy_witchHaving ditched the fetid cesspit presided over by the android that would be king, I desperately wanted to return to the glory days of LJ, but knowing it's no longer the place it once was, I finally fetched up on these shores...And I'm glad of it.
So, here I will settle, and try to get back into the rhythm of posting my mutterings and ramblings.
I'm not here to seek approval or agreement. I have no problem with the occasional discussion or debate, and indeed, I will enjoy the potential for a meeting of minds and the exchange of ideas and viewpoints...But I want to do so far away from the thundering crash of the fight for "likes", and holding one's head above the algorithmic sea so that someone might spot the desperate waving for attention. None of that has ever appealed to me - the command of "Dance for me, Monkey!" that comes with every urging to post more and more content, or pay for ads that will be seen and remarked upon by absolutely no one.
So yes...here I am, and no doubt, between my rants, my grumblings, and general natterings, there will be interspersed pictures of my sheep, my glass, and my over-familiar, Clive the cat. Not necessarily in that order.
I am happy to have made it here, and I look forward to seeing who is around me in this haven.
